D610 with wireless problem after hard reboot
Hi, I'm new to the forum and I am desperately needing some assistance in restoring the wireless on my trusty D610. My laptop froze a couple of times while using IE and I had to execute a couple of hard reboots. I've lost my wireless adapter.
I have followed the instructions to reload the drivers in order but I am not getting the Intel ProSet Wireless to show up in my Network Adapter in Devices. I get the icon in the tray with a Red X over it and I get an "Adapter Problem" error message along with a missing driver message as well.
Checking the BIOS the PCI minibridge is on as well as other settings pertinent to the wireless. I'm at wits end having spent several hours on this problem. I've tried several times to get this to load to no avail.
I have no ? or ! showing in the device list. Proset Wireless does not appear in the device list in the Network Adapter section. I can surf just fine through the Ethernet port.
Any help would appreciated!
Sam
