D620 loses Display Properties after Shutdown

 Hi all.

I have a D620 connected to Docking Station/Port Eliminator
That docking station has a
19" 1280 x 1024 screen connected to the VGA port and a
24" 1920 x 1200 screen connected to the DVI Port.
The screens are configured in NVidia "Dualview" mode, set to the resolutions above and the 19" is in portrait mode (1024 x 1280).  The OS is XP Professional.

When I shut the D620 down and power it back on, XP initially displays on the 1920 x 1200 (the primary screen) and then part way through Windows XP starting up, the 24" screen goes blank and both screens come on in "Clone" mode set to 1280 x 1024.

When I right click on the desktop and open Display Properties > Advanced > Quadro NVS 110M > nView Display Settings and change the nView Display Mode back to "DualView" and click "Apply", the 24" screen goes straight to 1920 x 1200 and the 19" screen changes to "Portrait Mode" at 768 x 1024.  I change the 19" back to 1024 x 1280 and save and all is well until I power the D620 off and the whole process starts all over again !

It's darn annoying !

Anybody have any idea how to fix this ?

All ideas appreciated, cos I'm all out.

I tried saving the settings in nView instead of Display Properties, made no difference;
I tried saving the settings using Dell QuickSet, made no difference.

Thanks,

Reg.
