D630 , BIOS A17 with NVIDIA 135: drivers from Dell Support are outdated: symptoms looked like overheat
Recent changes to Windows 8.1 seemed to drive the Nvidia NVS 135M GPU temperature up,
and forcing my blood pressure up. Experience with 1000's of failures has spawned my patience;
after reflection, after some thought,after cooler pad tricks that did not work and so on
and just prior to MotherB replacement ...
I stumbled upon a new April driver from NVIDA specific to DELL D630
with the A17 BIOS prerequisite.

check out v.331 before you pitch the D630 up against that wall
The D630 I have is the T9300 powered with regular fans pumping air full throttle all the time
so it runs hot normally,
for IT Tech work
the D630 is still my favorite choice because it has the physical COM port for console work
the batteries do not cost too much, as there are many many parts for D series out there.
Its like my Ford Explorer(s); millions manufactured; loads of part availability; everyone hates EX's
but they are a good economic-pragmatic choice on functionality.
Same with Lati's : they work hard and get banged up and fail regularly, but they still go n go n go.
