DELL Inspiron 8600 ERROR CODE: 0F00:0244

My DELL Processor Stalls. (Model Inspiron 8600) Every few minutes it will pause for a few seconds and then resume. It is totally random and cannot be traced to software usage. It is a hardware problem. It is random in terms of the duration and frequency of the pause. When I run the DELL Support Center Self help Troubleshooting, Preboot System Assessment I get the following: Build 3012 Start DST Short test Test Result: Failed Error Code: 1000-0146 MSG: Unit 0: DST Log Contains Previous Errors. When I run the diagnostics from the Boot Prom I get the following test result: for the IDE Disk S/N NP0DT532LEV0 Read Test. This is the only test that I have found that generates an error. ERROR CODE: 0F00:0244 MSG BLOCK 176193-176208 and 268045: Uncorrectable Data Error or Media is Write protected. The given error message can be used by DELL technical support to help diagnose the problem I also get the following related error when I run the verify tests: IDE DISK S/N = NP0DT532LEVO - Verify test ERROR CODE: 0F00:1A44 MSG BLOCK: 176193-176208 and 268045: Uncorrectable Data Error or media is write protected. The given error and message can be used by Dell Technical Support. What specifically do these error codes mean?
