DELL LATITUDE E4310 WEBCAM PROBLEM
Hello everyone! I've got latitude e4310. I've just done a clean install of Windows 7 professional, and I can't turn on the webcam. Because I can't find working drivers and working Dell Webcam Application. Have somebody maybe links to download right drivers and apps or any ideas how to make it works?
Greetings Karol

Matt KL,
Did you install/reinstall the operating system recently? If yes, did you install the drivers in the correct order? How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

It seems Dell did not consider providing the backward compatibility in this case. The Webcam is a waste.... Please take it back and make refund.

Hi ob213,
In Windows 7 the drivers are built in (native) for most computers. I would like to know if you are checking the webcam through Skype or any other camera software. If the webcam is not getting recognized in the Skype or webcam software, please follow the steps mentioned below for refreshing the drivers for webcam.
Also, you can download the "Dell Webcam Central" software from the link below.
http://ftp.us.dell.com/monitors/Dell_SX2210-Monitor_Webcam%20SW%20RC1.1_%20R230103.exe
Please let me know if this helps.

Hi arshafie,
Have you installed the video drivers? What is the system model number? Also please attach a snapshot of the device manager.

I wonder if I may be having a similar problem with my XPS (L502X) Webcam:
Almost every single time I restart or turn my laptop off and on, the webcam completely dissipates from Device Manager. I get no "unknown devices" or "unknown device is having a problem messages".
If I unplug every cord, disconnect the battery, and start the computer on Outlet Power alone, it will work flawlessly until the next shut down. I ran detailed Diagnostics in that time, everything clears as running perfectly, even after I reconnect everything I disconnected in order to start it with the webcam. During this time the Dell Webcam Central software works perfectly as expected as well.
It's the most unusual problem I've seen in over 9 years of help-desk, Tier 3 User support; and I've stuck in before and fixed a problem at work: after the HQ top IT conference called Microsoft and Dell Enterprise support (One or both of them "Gold level support") -- all three and myself spending most of a day on the phone with a Dell Windows server Issue, when eventually all others giving up, saying sorry -- nothing can be done, and all your data failed to be backed up even with the backup software we sold you giving no indications that it wasn't working in the time leading up to the failure, originally caused with an OS start-up failure following which was caused by a windows update - the specific patch cannot be determined....
A user almost stumped me with what I almost assumed was a hardware/network card failure, but at the last minute inspiration kicked in and I asked, is the electrical power currently out in your building? I'd hate for my own PC to be my first unresolved IT issue with no known possible explanation.
Additional Product info: Mine is listed as a "Quanta H.264 integrate webcam Driver" by Dell. SiSoftware Sandra calls it: Controller : Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1C2D Root Hub > Generic USB Hub: USB Port 4 > Device Connected : Quanta Computer USB Composite Device > Device ID : VEN_0408, DEV_2FB1, PRT_01 > Device Version : 9.01

zyme,
Did you recently install/reinstall the operating system? If yes, did you install the Dell System Software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
Windows 7/8 is supposed to provide the webcam drivers for most Dell computers. If you system needs webcam drivers, go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag, then select your operating system. If your system needs webcam drivers, they'll be listed under Input.
(Windows 8)How to make the webcam work with help from this youtube. You have to open the Camera app first, and then click Settings on the charm bar to see where you can give the app permission to use the webcam.

Troubleshooting the Dell Webcam and Dell Webcam Central Software
You can try this file, also known as Dell Webcam Central.
Create a new unrestricted user account and try the webcam. Did the webcam work?
If yes, log out and log back in to your account and try the webcam. Did the webcam work?
If no, then the webcam became detached from the motherboard, usually near the webcam
