I'm having similar issues - the cursor will freeze randomly for 1-5 seconds. I haven't verified that connecting an external display resolves the issue yet.

RE: DELL PRECISION M4800 FIREPRO M5100 MOUSE FREEZING

hi all

Guys I have another tip.

Try to change resolution to 2800x1800 second from the highest .then change scaling to 200 ,after that change ClearText Type for new resolution.

Restart your laptop - go for settings and see if the resolution and scaling change .

they should be at 2800 x1800 and scaling 200 .

Hope that will help

Hi

Have dropped resolution from 4K (3840 x 2160) to QHD+ (3200 x 1800). So far so good. No mouse lag for 24 hours (fingers crossed).

Yes that's the right  resolution. I made  mistakes with 2800x1800.it's should  be 3200x1800.I realized that just  now.

100% sure that's going to work: -).
