DELL XPS 11 2-in-1
What can be upgraded in this laptop? For example, if one were to buy RAM sticks and a SSD with more memory, could one install it onto the XPS 11 2-in-1 safely?

The SSD is a standard mSATA drive - it can be replaced (relatively easily) -- just by removing the base cover.
The memory is hard soldered to the mainboard and not upgradeable, nor is there an socket for adding RAM, so what you buy is what you get for the life of the system.

Would an XPS 11 2-in-1 with a Core i5 be good with running Dragon voice recognition as well as multi-tasking with Microsoft Word and with multiple web browsers (some running YouTube videos)? Would everything run smoothly?

I think I found the XPS 11 2-in-1 for $700.

I would think the screen too small for this to be used as a main system - and it has no real keyboard. The processor horsepower would be fine, but this is an expensive system (you can get a much more powerful notebook for less money than this).
I'd try before buying - all of these convertible systems involve design compromises vs. a true notebook system.
