DVD RW is not opening in windows 8.1 single language on Inspiron 5520

Hello,

Recently 2 months back I have updated my default OS(Windows 8 single language) came up with my Dell Inspiron 5520 to New OS(Windows 8.1 single language), but since then I haven't tried to open the DVD RW drive and today I had to back up something and tried to open up DVD RW drive but it was neither opened nor ejected. So I came across few articles and tried to open up it by putting a holding paper into the small hole on front face. But I could hear some sound when I tried to open or eject the drive. Not sure what might be problem with it. Please someone help me on this.
