DVD have trouble when upgrade BIOS
Hi all,
My Dell Presision M4500 service tag: <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> has a trouble when i upgrade BIOS version.
The first BIOS version is A04 when i upgrade it to A08 bypass A05,A06,A07( i didn't install A05,A06,A07 ) .
The windows 7 didn't detech my DVD RW .
After i put the DVD disk to DVDRW drive and restart the laptop, when the Windows 7 start, i can see the DVD drive in My Computer.
When remove the DVD and restart laptop, Windows 7 can not detech it.
Please help !!!!

Is it any wrong if i install direct to A08 when bypass BIOS version A05,A06,A07.

I think there is no harm upgrading the BIOS bypassing previous versions. Have you tried the microsoft link?

I have not tried with microsoft link. My brother take the laptop away . I will try next week and let you know !!!
