The version of 1397 WLan Mini-card is 188.8.131.52 (Driver date 01/10/2008), just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64. I also have dual-boot Ubuntu 16.04, the next description applies to both OS, Windows and Ubuntu.
It recognizes other wireless connections, but not mine. The router is TP-LINK TD-W8951ND. I tried installing/ uninstalling the Mini-Card, updating drivers several times, run an online-dell diagnosis tool, and checking DeviceManager/Properties/Advanced to try with other antenna channels (Fragmentation Threshold, IBSS, Locally Administrated MAC Address, etc.) but nothing works.
Which worked just once was shutting down the router and re-configurating the wireless standard from 802.11 g-b-c to 802-11b (I guess this is correct, which I'm sure is that the change was from a higher to a lower standard hierarchy). With this change it was able to detect my wireless account, but after rebooting my laptop I'm having the same problem.
Cheers and Thanks
Encrypted with WPA2. I installed dual-boot Ubuntu 16.04 and having the same problems: wifi card drivers actualized, I can see other wifi but not my own.
Thanks for the reply, happy new year
