Dell Datasafe will Not Backup
I cannot get the Dell DataSafe to back up. I have a 1545 that I bought from Dell. I have a 2 Meg USB. I tried to use a CD. Neither media will work. What to do?

You need an external hard drive to backup today's huge hard drives. Data Safe Online is for Online backups. That is free for one year from date of purchase, must be registered and expires after that. Use Windows Backup and Restore to backup to an external hard drive. Data Safe Local backup is for making restore disks. Read more about Data Safe Local Backup HERE. You need separate hard drives for that, too. CD's and thumb drives can be used for copies of small files, not backups. Thumb drives fail after a while, too, so should not be used for long term storage.
