Laptops General - Read Only

Hi All, I just received my laptopl / tablet in Red (pretty) and I thought when I ordered it, the rep said that it would turn vertically and horizontally, but when I flip the screen from the laptop to the tablet it still is hortizontal, can anyone tell me what is the problem, does it adjust on it own when I turn it?

How do I do that?

The accelerometer in these is not in the display - the display has to be locked over the keyboard before the orientation will change.
