Dell Inspiron 11-3147 SSD Upgrade - Cloning

I just purchased a Dell 11.6'' Inspiron 11-3147 (N3530) and am planning on doing the SSD upgrade.  I can't seem to find a step by step cloning process to do this.  Can someone help me out with what needs to be done to get the SSD ready for install?

You'll need some type of hardware to connect one of the drives by USB to do the job -- some SSDs come with the needed hardware (Samsung's kits do, for instance).  You'll also need the software to do the job.

The kits generally cost a bit more than bare drives -- compare the price with buying a drive separately from the connector cable/adapter.

You can use Dell Backup and Recovery to make recovery media which you can use to restore the factory settings to the new SSD:

Its advisable you make this recovery media.
