Dell Inspiron 15 5555 reboots randomly

I purchase Dell Inspiron 5555 on 2nd October 2016, However I have noticed that it reboots randomly without any error or blue screen.

Note sure if anybody else has faced this issue.

I am also unable to lookup my express code or service tag on Dell's website either

I get an error message that the code is unrecongnised

Regards

Tejas

Please check if the latest windows updates are installed. At left bottom of taskbar, please click windows logo, click Settings, Update & security  > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required.

RE: Dell Inspiron 15 5555 reboots randomly

I am currently working on a friends Inspiron 5555 shipped in July 2015.  This machine is experiencing the same issue, random restarts.  It came stock with Win8.1 on it.  I installed Win 10 Pro x64, it wasn't a clean install.  Unfortunately the problem is persistent, and from what I can tell is a common issue with this model.

Here is a copy of the error from the win logs

RE: Dell Inspiron 15 5555 reboots randomly

Hi RanOver,

A quick question , was it working fine with win 8.1 ? if yes, then I would suggest a clean install of win 10. If No , then I guess the problem is with the heatsink. My machine was experiencing random reboot since the day it was purchased. As it was in warranty we tried many things, clean install, motherboard replacement, etc and the last thing was we replaced the heatsink. And I have not experienced reboots from then onwards.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Tejas
