How do you mean? I know it's coming from the left side near the hinge

You might be able to see, for instance if the noise is coming from the keyboard side or from the air exhaust on that side or the bottom air intake.  If you know it is the fan then no need.

What is your next step?  Do you intend to remove the bottom and check the fans or send the unit back for service?  The light tapping of a key would seem to indicate an electrical situation.  Does changing the keyboard backlight make any difference?

Exerting physical force to stop the noise would seem to be caused more by fan alignment or position.

If you can think of anything you want me to try, let me know...

Just wanted to chime in and say I've been getting the same thing for about a month now. If I pick my laptop up and tilt it at certain angles when it's happening, it stops it, but restarts as soon as I set it back down.

I've taken the back panel off and done some very thorough cleaning of the fan and surrounding areas several times with compressed air, but no luck any time it happened. I think my next step is going to be to completely take it apart and see if there's something up with the wires maybe hitting a blade or a loose screw or something.

Anyways, I'm glad to know this hasn't just been me. I've had  a hard time finding people with the same problem with this laptop up until now.

Hi!) I found a solution for this problem. Even if CPU and GPU temperature is normal, notebook case is heating in heavy tasks. Solution is simple: make more space between notebook and table. And in my case buzzing noise disappeared.

I bought this laptop couple months ago, I hear what you're talking about. I can hear mine when there is some activity like scrolling and stuff, when it is sitting there idle, sound is not there.

At first I thought it was interference  in the speakers but disabling the soundcard didnt help, second I thought it was the bass speaker on the bottom somehow getting interference induced from electronics but after real close examination ( i put my ear right on it ) sound was not originating from the speakers, so I kept on listening and put my ear right on the fan air intake port on the bottom of the laptop and sure enough strangely was coming from where the fan air intake port is for cpu, then i listened the other fan for gpu and it was the same way.

So in conclusion, even though I didn't think it was possible but the buzzing sound apparently is coming from the fans. Someone on here proposed that the fans are getting too much voltage - I think it's possible but  the core of the issue is :

When cpu/gpu try to send frames to the monitor ( video/scrolling and so on...) somehow the fans are getting voltage induced in to them and apparently make a hissing sound. It is not clear if there is any danger  due to sparks  and it is not clear whether this affects how long the laptop will last or how long until fans go out. I don't think anything else could be making noise there because there are no other moving parts. Mine doesn't have a  hard drive.

Feel free to contact me if you have the same issue or you found a solution, together we may be able to figure it out.    My email is :  <Email id removed>
