Dell Inspiron 1545 blank screen. My dell inspiron had an object dropped on it. Immediately it displayed the logon screen. I decided to restart it. However, it has failed to display ANYTHING. The fan comes on but the screen remains black. any suggestions pl

If the system was powered on when the accident occurred, chances are the hard drive - at least - is toast. Can you get to a BIOS screen (f2 at powerup) if you remove the hard drive?
