I have a Dell Inspiron 15R 5521 Full HD ,Intel® CoreTM i7-3517U 1.90GHz, Ivy Bridge, 8GB, 1TB, AMD Radeon HD 8730M 2GB.

I installed a windows 7-64 bits ,I downloaded all drivers from here and after i saw i don't have all of them i installed a program and he did the rest.

Problem is...When I log on the Desktop Windows Manager crash(APPCRASH) and so does Internet Explorer.

In Device Manager everything seems fine, the drivers looks ok,no update needed, but in reality...

Please Help me!

Hi Katalin_27,

Follow below steps to isolate the issue:

Try to do a clean boot which can resolve the issue.

Below steps would help you clean boot:

Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.

Configure Selective Startup options

  1. In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Selective Startup on the General tab.
  2. Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.

Note:  The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.

  1. Click the Services tab.
  2. Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.
  3. Click Disable All, and then click OK.
  4. When you are prompted, click Restart.

Safe mode with networking:

Restart the computer and tap F8 on Dell logo and select safe mode with networking. Check if the computer works Safe mode with networking.

I recommend running SFC scanner on the computer.

Follow below steps to run SFC scanner:

  • Open the start menu
  • In the search box, type cmd
  • Right click on cmd and select Run as administrator.
  • In command prompt  type: sfc /scannow.

Awaiting your response!

I did all what you said at the first step, but after the pc restarted i tried to hit  F8 many times but nothing happened, altought i tried to do do that without following those steps but i could only choose from 1.to start it normally or 2.to do a pc repair(which is useless). What should i do?
