Dell Inspiron 6000 ,Display problem
My inspiron 6000 boots up properly, ask for log in PW. after giving pass word every thing normal.
2. After few second , the screen darkens and window though visible very dim.
3.I press the power on button, the window is off. Again when I power ON, ask for log in. Normal window appears for some time.
4. After repeating this process three/four time, every ting becomes normal and I am able to work on laptop for hours .
I have serviced the laptop and hardware ok.
Had the lcd/bulb/invertor been Defective, the laptop would not have worked at all.
I have two operating systems-xp and window 7. Same problem with both operating system.
I need a solution from experts.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the quick response.
1. I have installed dual operating system since long. The system was working fine. The screen dim problem came only one week back and it is with both the OS.
2. Dell diagnostic test passed successfully all the stages.
3. In my opinion neither the lcd nor the invertor has any problem as the system is running fantastic after two/three log in
I am attached to my DELL Inspiron 6000 since long and because of its excellent performance do not want to part with it
waiting for a solution.
thanks

Since no hardware issues found, please try updating video drivers from our website here: http://dell.to/1DEB7Qx or you can try reinstalling operating system which came along with the system.
Let us know if this helped.
