Dell Inspiron D620 BIOS update problem

Hey, I have a problem to update my dell BIOS to version A08,  the updater says "Error 8193: Intel (R) ME Interface : Cannot locate ME device driver" Anyone recieved this problem, anyone knows how to fix it?

Hi miecias,

The latest BIOS version available on Dell site is A10.You can try updating the same from the below link. Also install the latest chipset driver first and then try flashing the BIOS.

Ensure that the battery is fully charged and AC adapter is connected while you flash the BIOS.

well, first of all it's desktop pc, that's what i meant typing the inspiron D620, not the latitude

the chipset driver is current and it still says that it can't start the ME device, even in the device manager

Hi miecias,

I am sorry about the links as I misunderstood this as Latitude D620 laptop. Try resetting the CMOS by removing the Coin cell battery on the System Board.
