Dell Inspiron N7720 ( Dell 17R SE ) not turning on

Today i pressed the power button and nothing happened ( except for a tic-tic sound while the button is pressed - very hard to hear unless you listen carefully ).

I think the laptop has power because i can charge my phone in the special charging USB it has.

I can see a led turned on for battery, the charger cable led is working.

-> Tried ( multiple times ) - still not working

  • Remove the Battery and disconnect the AC Adapter; Hold the power button down for 5 seconds to discharge “Static Flea Power”

->  Laptop won`t start in any of the combinations ( Just on battery, Just on AC, Both AC and battery )

It still has guarantee till 24.07.2014

Contact Dell support and inform them about the number of continuous beeps (or tic-tic sound). They'll assist you further.

Thanks for the clarification. There seems to be an issue with the motherboard. You can contact Dell support about it.

i was thinking i might misinform you by speaking of the tic-tic sound.

it`s not beeps like the ones the mainboard does when faulty hardware.

when i press the power button nothing happens, the tic-tic is similar to the one you hear when you press the button to spark a oven, it`s not a beep of any kind and it`s not very easy to hear.
