Dell Inspiron not charging or starting

I have a old Dell Inspiron N5050 which has suddenly stopped working and doesn't start. When I plug in the charger in the socket, the light is on but when I connect it to my laptop, the light goes off. I've tried other chargers but they also seem to experience the same problem. I've tried removing the battery ans starting it by doing the way you have suggested to others but it won't start. It doesn't even charge. What should I do?
