It looks like that my Dell Latitude E6400 has slots for DDR3, but could you guys confirm that is possible or not?

You cannot use DDR-3.  Your chipset does support both, but the mainboard doesn't - the sockets take DDR-2 only.

Hi Rolf.

I just bought 8GB (2x4GB) modules PC2-6400 DDR2-800 from MemoryTen but apparently my Latitude E6400 doesn't like them as it doesn't boot at all. I see the three small lockers on F4-F5 key blinking and nothing else happens.

Any idea ?

I also upgraded the BIOS to A34 but still the problem is there.

Thanks

Pietro
