Dell Precision M6800 - non-backlit kb. to backlit? Possible?
I own a M6800 that is not equipped with backlit keyboard and I was wondering if is possible to replace it with a backlit one. Are those two cross-compatible?
Also, I've been reading that people have problems setting the time for M6800 backlit kb (as there is no app for it) and they were using older version of Dell Enhancement Pack intended for M6700. If a replacement for my situation is technically possible, I would also appreciate a solution for controlling/configuring the light on the keyboard.

Thanks for posting again.
While it may be possible to exchange the keyboards, the circuitry required to operate the lights, etc. will not be there, and likely will not work, and would not be supported by Dell.

Many thanks Robert. This puts me down in my enthusiasm a bit, but at least I know what's going on :D
I had no idea that beside the keyboard itself there are more circuits inside the laptop to control the light.
