Dell Quickset not displaying...

It will display to let me know I have a bum battery and the Volume display works while the "Bum battery" notification is up, but once it stops displaying, the volume display will not show anymore. The brightness display, however constantly shows when used with the FN key combos. So is anyone else having this problem or is it just me. And how do I fix it?

System?  OS?

I don't know if it'll cure all the problems, but the first thing I'd suggest you try, is reinstalling Quickset :emotion-55:

You'll find it on the 'Drivers & Downloads' page for your system - under 'Applications'.

Its an e1505 (T7200, 2GB Ram) running Vista Ultimate. Been working in previous installs, but this whole install is fudged I guess because of some hardware error, im redoing the OS after a write of 0s this weekend. Hopefully a clean wipe and install will cure my problems. Ironically the vloume is starting to show periodically, brightness is still showing as usual. Quickset is latest version released on Driver Page.
