Dell Studio 1735 fingerprint reader
For some unkown reason, the fingerprint reader on my Dell Studio 1735 is no longer detected. This was sudden and came without any kind of warning. It does not show up in Device Manager. Yes, I've rebooted a couple of times.
I do see this in the System Event Viewer:

I have had a few problems with my fingerprint reader, when I resized the partitions on my Studio 1737.
Go to Drivers & Downloads, enter your service tag number, then look under security, Download and install the Fingerprint software again. After you restart the computer, it should work again.
