Dell Vostro 1710 Bios eprom location anyone ?
Hi everyone
does anyone know the location of the bios eprom on a vostro 1710 laptop ? I beleive it is the EOW manufactured one under the wifi card but need to confirm it before removing it after a fried flash .

I can't answer your question but I can provide you with an interesting link .According to the article even a failed BIOS update might let you boot via USB since there is still essential code left which is NOT affected by an BIOS update.Pressing Fn & B at powerup and an especially prepared bootmedia with appropriate BIOS flashcode might make you smile again.....the link is just for your information - don't know if it works.
