Dell Vostro 3500 Graphics - what is this about???

Hi all,

Just got 5 Dell Vostro 3500 Laptops to supply to a projects team for running bespoke software that only runs successfully on win xp. The unit came pre-loaded with Win7 of which I have no problems with, but had to flatten and run XP. All installs ok Except the graphics??? Tried the Dell web site as this relates (as you'd expect) to the model provided. Downloaded the suggested drivers for the model and hey presto - nothing? Not really ideal support me thinks! I then go straight to the source looking on the nvidia site for drivers for the GeForce 310M 512m graphics card for Win XP - there they are! Wohoo! Well, not so fast....they don't even start to load! I'm wholeheartedly dissapointed in the purchase and the level of support. Tried loading the drivers from the hardware snapin and nothing - wouldn't even entertain any of the .ini files. Please does anyone have the remotest idea how to get these working as the project needs to get under way. (Software is graphics reliant)

Hope you can help
