Dell Vostro 3558 power error
Given a Dell Vostro 3558 Notebook Windows 8.1 Pro x64 operating system in domain.
When the notebook is switched, operating system started, user log on the system.
I plugged in the charger then the operating system shutdown.
This happens even when I pull the charger off and back on
What can cause this?

Thank you for writing to Dell Community Forum.
Does the light on the adapter stays on when the charger is plugged in?
Please run the on-board Dell diagnostics , after the Dell Splash screen, and capture any error code or message you receive.
Boot into BIOS and check what is the status of the adapter / battery listed.
Please private message us the service tag of the system along with your email id.
(Note: please don't mention the service tag or email id on the public forum
as it contains your personal information).

i bought a 3558 Dell vostro laptop
Power led light is not working.
i want to know if it is normal or having some issue with it?
it has only one light at left bottom with battery sign.
please send me some official document eplaining the issue.
