Dell Vostro 5470 - Fingerprint not Detected - Windows 7 64-bit
Hello,
I'm looking for a solution for fingerprint reader on Vostro 5470, Windows 7 64-bit.
Is there anyway to make windows detect the fingerprint reader?
I've reinstalled the driver from dell downloads. Biometric is there on control panel, but it cannot detect the device.
I tried the validity FMA software, but it won't detect the fingerprint reader as well.

Hello Niki,
I using Windows 7 32 bit, on my Vostro 5470 also facing the same problem. On Device manager > Biometric > Validity Sensor is detected but I dont know how to use it. I cannot see fingerprint reader device on control panel or Fingerprint software on All Programs. I ever used other brand notebook, and there was specific software to register fingerprint
Hope Dell technical support could give answer to this issue.

have you downloaded the Digital Persona Fingerprint Suite? it should make it works

Where is the link for Digital Persona Fingerprint Suite?
I have searching Dell website & Google, but I cant find any link to download that software

When I go to My Dell Download, I got strange issue. I got error message Service Tag is not supported. In country list, I cannot find Indonesia. Strange because I buy this Vostro 5470 in Indonesia
I want to contact Dell Support, but the result also same. My Service Tag is not supported. Very annoying. If I know my country is not listed / supported by Dell, I prefer to not buy this product.
I have search google about Digital Persona Fingerprint Suite software, but still hasnt match with Vostro 5470.
Wish someone could upload Digital Persona FIngerprint Suite & share the link. Thank you

sudah bisa sekarang. Ternyata di kaskus ada threadnya khusus ya :)
Hi Nikki, please take a look from above site. Please read at the middle of page. You can see the link for 32bit and 64 bit.
