Dell Vostro V131 battery not working - shuts off immediately when unplugged
My 5 year old Dell Vostro V131 battery doesn't seem to work anymore when unplugged. When it's plugged-in and charging, the computer works fine, but the red "low battery' light blinks constantly. The battery meter shows that the battery is 100% charged. But as soon as the power cord is unplugged, the computer immediately shuts off.
What might be the problem? Should I purchase a new battery?

Welcome to our community.
To confirm if the issue is with the battery, we’ll have to run the hardware diagnostics. Please follow the below mentioned steps to run the diagnostics.
1. Restart the computer.
2. As the computer boots, press < F12 >.
3. When the Boot menu appears, highlight Diagnostics option and then press < Enter > to start the Dell Diagnostics.
4. Press the < Enter > to continue Diagnostics.
