Dell XPS 12 Convertible Ultrabook - Max DisplayPort Resolution?

Hi!

I'm looking to get a set of the XPS 12 and connect the miniDisplayPort to my Dell 30" monitor which supports up to 2560x1600. I'm wondering if XPS 12's displayport support up to that resolution and most importantly, has someone tried it?

Thanks!

 Hi sober028,

Yes, the display port on the XPS 12 supports a maximum resolution of 2560x1600 on external display.

Please refer this link : http://bit.ly/TwI6jk  for checking the video specifications.

Kindly let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi!

If I'm informed right, there is no adapter offered by Dell e.g. from MiniDP to DVI-Duallink to run a U2711 with 2.560 x 1.440 at the XPS-12-MiniDP.

Do you have an product proposal or do we have to buy an ..... apple-product? ;)

Thanks.

Hi

I have a Dell XPS 12 when attached to a projector I cannot get a 1080p resolution. In both VGA and HDMI I get a 1024x768 resolution. I cannot change this either in Windows 8 or the Intel software. Any ideas to what could be causing this problem ?

Regards

The resolution is usually reported from the external device.. I have seen some projectors that get that mixed up and/or maybe try using HDMI or DisplayPort if that is availble
