Dell XPS 13 L322X i5 need motherboard replacement in europe

hello guys, I think i had a power surge last night at home and two of my laptops died. My XPS LED lights will go on but fan wont spin and screen stays black. I took it apart, removed cmos battery left it unplugged for like an hour and still no luck with it.

I am guessing that the motherbard has been damaged with a power surge since my other laptop died and has the same exact problem.

Where can i find a replacement motherboard? Can i Install the i7 motherboard even tho my xps came with an i5? Does the heatsink and rest of the parts remain the same between the i5 and i7?

You'll have to search for a local source.  The CPU is soldered to the mainboard, so it gets replaced with the board itself.

You can replace an i5 board with an i7.  The only caveat would be that systems having Intel-only GPUs generally use a different heatsink than those with hybrid Intel-nVidia or Intel-AMD GPUs.

My i5 was Intel 4000 or 4500 graphics card... What i7 replacement would fit? And the monitor is not touch screen. Could you link me please? I do not want to end up with a wrong mobo. Im fine in buying the best mobo there is for it so it will last me a couple of years.

It appears some boards support the lower resolution WXGA only -- not the higher FHD.  Best bet would be to verify with the seller.

Hi Invisible Rasta!

I have the same problem and need to get a new motherboard (except mine is an I7 FHD=.

Were you able to find one? Where?

Thanks!

Search for part numbers YKPCP (2.1 GHz CPU) or X3H6H (2.0 GHz CPU).
