Dell XPS 15 - Touch Screen, Audio and right hand side USB all fail
Hi,
All three of these issues:
1) Touch screen not being touch enabled (but works as a screen)
2) No audio - Windows reports "No Audio Output Device is Enabled"
3) The right side USB ports don't work (but the two on the left do)
have occurred at the same time today - is it likely to be the same bit of hardware at fault ?
Thanks

I was really impressed to read someone with exactly the same issues. I'm like this since last Monday the 19th. Guess this means its a Software/update problem?? Did you solve it?

Hi Felipe,
Unfortunately I can't say for sure what fixed it, as the day Dell came to fix it, it had started working again ! Dell changed an IO board and it's been working fine ever since - so it might have been the IO board or a faulty connection of it I guess.

just to be sure...you are saying that somehow the 3 problems were solved before dell came to your place? Even though problems were solved, dell changed an IO board? the IO board was installed by opening your XPS?
thanks!

Hello Hendfari, just for the record, I ordered the I/O card from a dealer in China (US 40, i'm out of warranty) and it´s on the way, but as you mentioned before, "somehow" the problem got solved before card installation and now everything is working fine...So I guess in the end is a software problem related to windows 10 and one of their updates.
The only weird thing is that on the playback devices (right click on the sound icon on the taskbar) I now have 2 playback devices Spekers/headphone (realtek high definition audio) and Speakers (system audio driver). I had to disable the second one in order for sound to work properly on speakers and on mic.
Cheers.
