Dell XPS M1330 Laptop will not turn on normally.

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

Hello,

I'm having some issues turning on my XPS M1330. The battery is fully charges and the AC power is connected. I turn off the laptop and it won't turn back on when I press the power button. The only way I can manage to turn it on is by disconnecting the battery, unplugging the AC power from the computer, then plugging the AC back in without the battery. When I do this, the computer turns on BY ITSELF as soon as I plug in the AC into the laptop.

Inclusively, immediately after the Dell logo with Bios version screen disappears, the screen goes blue and automatically begins the "Pre-boot system assesment build 4107." I have let it do a full diagnostic and it doesn't show me an errors. I've been cancelling it by pressing the ESC key in order to go onto the windows logon screen; I have to do this every time the computer turns on. On a side note- after I turn on the computer I can connect the battery and it disconnect the AC and the laptop will run on the charged battery.

Does anyone have an insight on why this is happening?

take off battery and AC and press the powerbutton for 12 seconds.

If nothing happens  try to install the bios from dell website
