Dell XPS M1330 Sigmatel Stac 92XX Sound Drivers for Windows XP

I've recently purchased a Dell XPS M1330 and downgraded the OS to WinXP SP2.
The problem is that, I'm unable to resolve the Sigmatel STAC 92XX Sound driver for nearly 2 days.

I would like to share this solution, since I've managed to resolve the sound driver issue for Win XP installation on my Dell XPS M1330. (My sound speaker is working now.)

1. Download the Dell Driver R119989 and run install.
2. After the installation, go to My Computer -> System Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager.
    - In device manager you will find that (Sigma Tel High Defination Audio CODEC) with an
      exclamation mark. (No worries)
3. Download another Dell Driver R153908 and run install.
    - Now, if you check in your Device Manager, you'll notice the (Sigma Tel High Defination Audio
CODEC) is cleared of the exclamation mark.
4. Your sound driver problem solved in Windows XP.
    - (You should have sound coming out of your DELL XPS M1330 by now.)

I hope this will assist those, who has the same problem with the sound driver problem for the Dell XPS M1330 in Windows XP.

So how do you clear the exclamation mark on:

Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus

which still appears in "Other Hardware" section of the Device Manager?

Thanks

Thank you for the additional information. Helped me.

I believe that's the Intel High Definition Audio HDMI device. That will be installed when you install the video drivers - R165797.
