Dell XPS M1730 Backlight Keyboard Not Working
Hello all...
I'm hoping to figure this out but I've exhausted all resources on my side. Recently my keyboard stopped lighting up for some reason. There is a key combination, Fn + Right Arrow that is for turning on/off the keyboard backlight. When I hit that combination I get a little graphic in the bottom right hand corner that shows the keyboard lighting up or turning off (it's a toggle) but the keyboard itself doesn't turn on or off.
This feature WAS working. Anyone have any thoughts?

You can also pull the keyboard and check the wiring harness.Instructions are in the service manual:

Have the same problem and what I did is, I took tthe laptop apart and checked the ribbon, the ribbon that connects to the board and keyboard and found out that it is broken. I'm just going to get one and replace it. Everything works except the lit function.
Cheers!
