Dell XPS12 + 2 2560x1440 External Monitors

Hi,

Is it possible to run 2 external monitors at 2560x1440 off the DELL XPS12. I understand there is only 1 display port, but can you use adapters or a docking station to run 2 monitors at that resolution...?

side question: can you do this with the Dell XPS 13

Ps: latest models with HD4400

RE: Dell XPS12 + 2 2560x1440 External Monitors

I have the same question (XPS12 (2013)) ... anyone from Dell can you answer please?

Note: I found this link below which indicates that the Maximum external resolution is 2560x1600 so it looks like it can drive at least one monitor ... unsure about 2 though.

RE: Dell XPS12 + 2 2560x1440 External Monitors

I can answer the Dell XPS 13 question as yes. I have an XPS 13 9333 and I'm currently running two Dell SP2309W monitors at  2048 x1152 (max resolution). Monitor 1 is connected via mini display port to HDMI cable. I especially like connecting like this as it negates the use of any audio cables due to the fac that the HDMI to Mini Display is able to carry the audio signal. Monitor 2 is connected from the  monitor's HMDI port to a USB 3.0 video graphics display adapter to the USB 3.0 port on the XPS. The EXACT VGDA I'm using is found here:  http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Multiple-2048x1152-1920x1200-DisplayLink/dp/B009V53L06/ref=sr_1_1?ie=U... This model varies slightly from the one listed on the Sabrent website http://www.sabrent.com/category/display-adapters/USB-3HDM/ That one shows the USB connection to be a mini USB port where mine (see the amazon link) is an actual 3.0 USB port.

I can answer the Dell XPS 13 question as yes. I have an XPS 13 9333 with the same HD4400 video chip and I'm currently running two Dell SP2309W monitors at  2048 x1152 (max resolution). Monitor 1 is connected via mini display port to HDMI cable. I especially like connecting like this as it negates the use of any audio cables due to the fac that the HDMI to Mini Display is able to carry the audio signal.
