Dell inspiron 1545 boots to windows boot manager screen
A few days ago when booting up the laptop it makes several loud beeping sounds and boots to the Windows boot manager screen and asks if i want to boot with windows 7 or "press F8 to specify an advanced option for this" . This just started a couple of days ago. I select the windows 7 option and it boots normally. Why is it now going to this windows boot manager screen? Is this a hardware problem or do I need to reload windows 7?
When my laptop started doing this I came across this post and was disappointed seeing it was not answered. So I vowed to come back and answer it if I resolved the issue on my Dell.
It was the keyboard on mine, apparently spilling coke on them will cause them to fail after time. I removed the laptop keyboard and plugged in an old usb keyboard I had and the laptop booted just fine, off to Ebay and pick up and new keyboard for $30 and just finished putting it in and we are good to go.
