Dell studio 1558 - Would it support 1033MHz DDR3?
Hi, the question is written up top. I know that the system comes with 1060MHz DDR3 but I would like an upgrade. Another thing on that subject,
are there any supported memory vendors? or every vendor is fine (and wont kill warranty), and what should i check before I buy memory for the computer?
Thanks.

Presumably you mean 1333 MHz RAM - the answer is, only if your system has an i7 CPU. If it has an i3 or and i5 -- or a Core2, then no.

Hi,
You are correct i am talking about 1333MHz (thanks for fixing me).
I am using Core i7-720m cpu, currently with 4GB 1066MHz (2X2GB).
are there any suggestions before i buy the memory?
Thanks.

Two things:
If you want to avoid incompatibilities, buy from a vendor that guarantees the RAM will work.
The other thing is to temper your expectations - the performance boost you'll see is going to be slight - maybe 5% overall - barely if at all noticeable unless you're running extremely RAM-intensive applications (photo/.video editing, large databases or spreadsheets) -- you won't get your $100 or so worth out of this upgrade.
