Display Kernel-Power Failure - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M

I've been having issues with this video card since I got this computer 2 years ago. I've had it replaced, I've gotten new disk drives because the blue screens caused them to fail, etc.

The drivers are up to date, I am always plugged in, I'm using a Windows Basic theme, and I have contacted Dell about this issue a few times to no avail. The only thing they have done is turned off the on-board card so that it always uses the NVIDIA card.

A few times a day, my screen will freeze and go black, then I see a Display Drivers have stopped working (Kernel-Power error) in the corner of my screen. Sometimes my computer will lock up all together and I have to hold down the power button to turn it off. I do not want to keep doing this and need some ideas about what it could be!

Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M

Laptop: Alienware m17x R3

Processor: Intel core i7 2630QM-CPU @2.00 GHz

Thank you.
