Hibernation issues have always been problematic and doesn't matter which brand of computer, which is why I don't recommend using it.
It sounds like the wake up instructions and sleep configuration have been corrupted. If you haven't checked to see if you have the latest BIOS, you can try that. If that's okay, then take the computer off the dock, shut it down completely, remove the battery, and hold the power button in for a few seconds, then replace the battery and restart. Also disconnect the power from the dock and drain any residual power the same way. Post back with your results.
