Failing GPU question
I have a Latitude D630, whose quadro nvs 135m I am pretty sure is failing (I still have to check with an external monitor, but I'm quite sure that's the problem). So I am wondering, if I send this in under warranty for repair:
1) Is the new gpu going to be the same one that I have, and after more time (despite software and BIOS solutions), would it fail too? Or is it the same model number, but with a GPU whose hardware is revised to handle the overheating?
2) Is it possible to get an upgraded GPU (namely the NVS 160m, since it supports 1920x1200) during the replacement? If not, is there a fee or service that could do that?
Thanks for the help!

1. nVidia claims it has fixed the manufacturing problem with the chips. It's NOT an overheating problem - the chips fail from thermal cycling (heatup/cooldown).
2. No. There's no upgrade option. There was the option of a board with Intel-integrated video, which you may be able to downgrade to, but there's no other option.
This system does not have a video card - it's a chip soldered to the mainboard, so there is no way to change what you've got.

Alright, thanks for the help! By the way, would you happen to know the max supported resolution of the quadro nvs 135m? On its spec sheet on nVidia's website, it says 1600x1200, however, this page (http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/latit/en/spec_latit_d630_en.pdf) of information says the D630 supports 1900x1200 on an external monitor. Do you know which is right?
