Fan RPM is either 0 or in 3000s/4000s

Hi,
I have an Inspiron 5567, and after downloading SpeedFan I've noticed the fan RPM is either 0, or when I do something intensive it leaps to around 3500ish RPM, making a huge noise.

How can I resolve this? I'm worried about my laptop overheating.

Many thanks.

Hi lilxtiger,

Thanks for posting.

I'm not familiar with speedfan, but looking at their website, I've found a link to their support page:  http://dell.to/2yKMlWa

Hopefully this information is helpful.

Hi Robert,

Thanks, I guess that SpeedFan doesn't support changing the fan speed of an Inspiron 5567, would you happen to know any other ways to edit the fan speed so it doesn't flunctuate between these two extremes?

Here is a suggestion from another customer, which might work for you.
