Faulty laptop service tag registered under wrong name

I received a faulty laptop from dell it is registered under the wong name so the Technical team is refusing to help me. Whe ringing I am constantly tranferred between different departments. Absolutely disgraceful. I have posted my experience on various websites so people are aware. Never again.

Brand new computer purchased directly from dell (not ebay or other auction site) or used or outlet model? There is a form for transferring warranty and tag to new owners however the one year warranty has to be still in effect. Contact Customer Service instead of tech support if it is new from dell.

Dell does not sell computers on ebay. Buying from sellers there is Buyer Beware.

It is an outlet model I was suggested to try a warranty transfer  for which I was sent the following link: http://www.dell.com/support/retail/us/en/04/ownershiptransfer/IdentifySystem however this requires for me to have the previous user's zipcode which Dell outlet have not given me!!
