Flashing amber light

Have just replaced cooling fan in N7011 and when reassembled and turned on battery light flashing amber and laptop will not turn on. Had been sitting idle for 3 months prior to repair. Removing battery and trying to start up on external power supply doesn't work. Please help!!!!
