Hardware reserve ram
Hi
sorry for reposting.
I am using dell inspiron 15R 5537. It has 8gb of ram installed out of which 7.7gb was usable. but unfortunately my mother board was changed, but after mother board was changed usable ram increased to 7.9gb thus decreasing hardware reserve I guess. Is there a way to change usable ram? I Want to set it to the default value of 7.7gb.

If your graphics card is on-board type from Intel, you can change the value of graphics memory in BIOS to change the usable RAM.
Kindly note that RAM capacity available and usable varies with motherboard, as posted by PhoenixBennu in your original post.

I don't think that it has any thing to do with gpu.......... my hardware reserve was 284mb and now it is 120mb...... would it effect my performance? and is their a way to change it?
