Help with installing bios update 06
I just got my new Dell today. Ran microsoft updates and then the dell updates. I downloaded the BIOS update when prompted but still promps me to download that bios update even after reboot. My system has the bios v06 already successfully downloaded. I know this for when I try to re-download it tells me i will be replacing 06 with the same 06 version. whats going on?

Hi kcladyz,
May I know where do you get this prompt?
If possible post a screen shot.
Awaiting your response!

I go to my dell support center then under notifitions says new BIOS update available but I already took the update. Is that supposed to auto- clear out or do I manually delete the alert or does it mean the update did not take correctly? if I try o redo the update it asks me if I want to replace 06 with the 06 so I assume nothing to worry about??? The bios version seems to already be in place

Hi kcladyz,
Click on Download and don’t install/update BIOS if it is already updated.
If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall Dell support center.
Refer the following link to uninstall and reinstall Dell support center:

After downloading the new BIOS version the first time what did you do with the file? Just downloading the file doesn't
update your BIOS.
Sorry if I am wrong but I have somehow the impression that you did not executed and updated the BIOS.
