How To Upgrade From Windows XP PRO To Windows 7
I need to put Windows 7 on my Inspiron 1545 laptop 4GB Hard Drive, 256GB Memory. I have Windows XP PRO on it now. Please help me get started with some recommendations/suggested websites for performing this task. Also, can you please advise a source for purchasing the OS Windows 7. Thank you.

XP cannot be upgraded to Windows 7 (or 8 or 10). It must be a clean install (you can use an "upgrade" version but must bare-metal the installation).
At this point it makes little sense to spend over $100 on an upgrade license for an OS that's on its way out -- particularly given the advanced age of the system.
It would make more sense to put the funds toward a new system that comes with Windows 10.
