How do I set a boot password. I don't want to allow people to boot my laptop if it gets stolen

I've used BIOS passwords before to prevent my computers from being booted if they were stolen.  It's been over 2 years since I done that and it was only with HP and Sony devices.  I'm asking how to set a password to prevent my Dell XPS 15 9560 from booting without a password.  I already took a look at the firmware, but thought I'd ask here to be sure.

I wasn't sure about everything, but I would like to know how it went with you.

BEFORE you do this, carefully consider securing the password in a safe place.  Once set, you will not be able  to get back in to the system without the password.
