How to connect dual 2560x1440 monitors to E5570 / E5580

I have two laptops, an E5570 from work and a E5580 as private. I would like to connect dual 2560x1440 screens (Dell U2717D) to especially the E5570. How can this be done?

I would assume that I can connect this through the e-port2 advanced port replicator, but can't find any documentation to confirm this and see a forum post indicating the e5570 might limit it to 1920x1200 for some odd reason.

For info, it has the AMD R7 video chip.

RE: How to connect dual 2560x1440 monitors to E5570 / E5580

Thanks Robert,

It doesn't totally answer my question though. I know DisplayPort and HDMI will easily handle this resolution (as I am driving my 4k screen through DisplayPort on my HP laptop and through HDMI on my desktop). So I would assume the E5570 will handle 2 WQHD screens on a dual DisplayPort dock without any problems.

What's making me doubt it is the post in the link below;

There it is stated as verified answer that the E5570 will not support the resolution. I can't imagine this to be true, but would like to know for sure before I spend the money on the screens.

Also the graphics adapter on the E5580 should certainly be capable of this, but it seems the WD15 dock will limit to dual 1920x1200 for some odd reason. It does support a single 4k screen, so why would it not support dual WQHD which have less total pixels to drive? And is there an alternative dock (DisplayPort over USB-C) that will handle it?

Regards,

Marc
